I would like to announce that today the 18th October 2010, Essio Marketing Ltd has opened a new branch and associate office on the island of Malta, in the Mediterranean. We are really excited to release this news and know that these are very positive times for the company. Positive that we are able to grow in the current economic climate and expand our reach into a country that is showing strong direction and ambition.

With Malta’s recent growth of their overseas and igaming companies, Essio Marketing Ltd is following this trend and positioning itself in Malta to develop partners of the future. For me personally, this is a dream come true being half Maltese, and opening our first overseas office in my home country.

In the past three months throughout the summer I have been travelling to and fro from Malta, having numerous meeting with senior members of the business community, networking and building good relationships. There is a buzz in Malta at the moment and the business community, whether local or foreign, have a very positive outlook for the future. The senior managers and owners that I met in Malta want to get involved, want to understand the process of internet marketing; which is amazing as this interest and co-operation allows us to be inventive and explore new avenues due to the greater insights we gain from a more in-depth understanding.

One of Essio’s greatest assets, which will benefit us in Malta is that we maintain very good relationships with our current clients/business partners. To accentuate this point we have always had a very good retention of clients, clients who have been with us from when the company started over 2 years ago. Our ability to communicate our ideas, our openness, and our results driven attitude as well as our client relationship are what I foresee being key factors for success in Malta.

One of my business partners and co-founders John Liptrot said “This is amazing news for the company, and for me personally as I was born and bred here in St Helens. I visited Malta when I was in the Navy fifteen years ago and I loved it, and to now know that our company Essio Marketing Ltd is representing my home town of St Helens in Malta is just amazing. We know it’s going to be hard work, but we’re prepared for that, and we look forward to it.”

Our new office is based in Conception Street, Zurrieq, strategically placed 10 minutes from the Airport and just 20 minutess from the capital Valletta. Our website will be updated with the office full contact details within the next week and we have a new website being launched primarily for Malta within the next 4-6 weeks.

Our new office manager in Malta, Cheryl Williams is currently preparing seminars that are due to be held in the New Year to introduce our services to the business community. If you require any information regarding the Maltese office or services we provide please email me on: chris.williams@essio-marketing.co.uk or you can email Cheryl directly on cheryl@essio-marketing.co.uk.

We are really excited today at Essio Marketing as it is exactly one month since we announced the impending launch of a new sports bars website. The website www.livesportsbars.tv is scheduled to be launched during the 2010 World Cup in preparation for the new 2010/11 Barclays Premiership.

To coincide with the launch we have been offering for the past month, free trials to sports bars and pubs across the United Kingdom. To our disbelief we have now signed up 331 sports bars for the trial, which is beyond our greatest expectations. Initially we would have been satisfied with just a couple of hundreds, but this has been truly magnificent that so many bars have got behind our idea and been willing to get involved at this early stage. We have more bars that we are speaking to in the next few weeks and hope that we can carry on this wave and maybe hit 500, or dare I say it 1000 sports bars by the launch date. That would be amazing.

Thanks for all your support and we’re working very hard to provide something really special for both bars and visitors so please pass the word to both bars and sports fans.

Visit www.livesportsbars.tv and please show your support.

Essio Marketing are announcing the up and coming launch of a new live sports bar website and are offering a free 6 month trial to bar owners. For the past 12 months we have been developing a new and exciting website www.livesportsbars.tv, the site is due to be launched, as planned, this summer (2010). A new and exciting website that will provide sports enthusiasts in the UK with the location and features of bars and pubs that are showing televised live sporting events.

Searching for a Live Sports Bar

Whether you’re searching for live premiership games, Rugby Union, League, Golf, or SKY Sports 3D, LiveSportsBars.TV will locate a sports bar, near to you, that is showing your sporting event. The visitor will be able to enter their team, event or sport, and enter their postcode or town, and will then be provided with a selection of sports bars that fit their search requirements.

The Live Sports Bars Profile Page

Once the visitor has been provided with a choice of live sports bars, they can then click through to each sports bars profile to learn more, for instance, do they serve food are kids allowed and even the kind of atmosphere they can expect.

Each live sports bar will have its own dedicated page where users can find a televised fixture list for that pub or bar. These have either been chosen by default in the case of SKY Sports or by selection to include terrestrial TV such as the FA Cup, Wimbledon and the World Cup.

Once the visitor is satisfied that they have found a bar that is screening their event they can then use the map provided to find the best route. Simple but very effective!

Keep Your Regulars up to Date with Your Live Sporting Events

How often do you call all the local pubs, which are often engaged as everyone else has the same idea, and asked ‘Are you showing tonight’s game?’ Well not anymore, because now all you have to do is visit LiveSportsBars.Tv which will have an individual web page for every sports bar registered. Each bar will have the

ability to control the information shown which includes a section to show their own sporting schedules. Your own customers can bookmark the page and visit whenever they need updating about upcoming sporting events.

Free Trial Listing for Two Bars in Every City within the UK – Be Quick

To get the ball rolling and to raise interest, we are offering a ‘free trial listings’ for the first two sports bars in every city and 1 free trial listing for the first sports bar in every town to apply. For the benefit of London we have broken this city into its respective towns ie Clapham, Wimbledon etc. so there is room for over 200 free lsitings for sports bars in London. Please be quick as these free listings we suspect are going to go very quickly.

Why are we giving away Free Listings?

Simple, the reason is that this site’s functionality is essential to the visitor, and then the sports bar in this order. When Live Sport Bars .TV is launched we need the site to provide visitors with a result whenever they search for an event or bar. To achieve this we will give away free trial listings to the first bars in every city and town within the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland for six months.

First Two Bars In Every City To Sign Up - Free 6 Month Trial

What’s The Catch? There’s Always a Catch

There’s no catch it’s a straight trade off, we get a functional website from launch and the bar gets a free search engine optimised web page. I should also mention that any pub or bar that signs up for the free trial waivers the set up and registration fee mentioned below, as a gesture of good will from us to say thank you for taking the time to get involved at this early stage.

What Will the Cost be to Bars Who Miss the Free Trial Listing?

This site has been designed for functionality and to maintain user experience we have created a pricing structure that will encourage every bar in the UK to get involved. At these prices we expect bars that don’t even show SKY Sports or the foreign satellite channels to be enthusiastic about signing up.

One Off Set Up Fee of only £49.99+VAT

Subscription Fee: £9.99 + VAT per month (OR)

Subscription Fee: £99.99 + VAT Per Year

First Bar In Every Town To Contact Us - Free 6 Month Trial

Why Is It So Cheap To Register As A Bar Owner?

It’s not cheap; it’s a reasonable price for every bar in the country. We’re aware as much as anyone about the increase in the price of a “pint”, and the costs incurred to show these live events in local bars and pubs around the country. we also appreciate just how much people enjoy going to the pub to watch a live sporting event. We have kept the price low as we want to encourage every single sports bar throughout the UK and Northern Ireland to come on board.

On a final point, please spread the word to pub owners and sports enthusiasts around the country that www.LiveSportsBars.Tv is launching in the summer. If you’re a webmaster of a sports themed site, please link to us and give us some juice. it would be greatly appreciated.

I will keep updating this blog entry to keep things simple and will do an update at the end of each week to keep you informed of the free trials that have been taken and in which town and city. If you own, or manage a sports bar that televises live games and your area is not on the list below, then why not take advantage of a free six month trial. No obligations, no commitments, just an enthusiasm for live sport.

With the growing number of Internet users, globally and here in St Helens, it is important that your business website can be found by the search engines, as these are the prominent source for users to gather content and visit websites. Although there are many good website designers in St Helens, it is important that you choose a designer that can get your business website found and placed properly by the search engines.

Getting your website seen is undoubtedly the most crucial part of having a business website online. If you intend on doing a lot of hard marketing and intend to gain traffic in the short and long term solely by these methods and links from other websites, then you can just concentrate on getting your website looking and functioning the way that you desire.

However, if you are someone that wants to make the most of the online traffic that is available, then there are a few boxes that need to be ticked. Most importantly, can your website be found and read by the search engines? Many websites have features in place that can reduce your website’s visibility or, in some cases, eliminate its visibility altogether.

The first thing to consider is what words or phrases should bring searchers to your website; these words are your ‘keywords’. Carry out thorough keyword research before making any changes to your website the following article will help you to choose keywords with commercial value to your business; Target Keywords with Commercial Value. Once you are happy with the chosen keywords ensure that they appear in important sections of your website such as;

Meta Tags
Whilst viewing your website, click view from the browser menu then view ‘Page Source’, you should find Meta Tags located between the HEADER tags (). These are the primary points for search engines to read and establish a page’s readability and contents value to its users.

Robots
The ‘robots’ Meta Tags can instruct the search engines whether or not to read the content. If this Tag does not exist within the website code, then the default ‘index and follow’ applies. If this Tag is present with content such as “no index” or “no follow”, then this particular page will restrict search engines ability to view and index your content.

Title
This is not an actual Meta Tag, but is closely associated and so is treated like one by many designers and internet marketers. The title, located between the TITLE Tags (), will appear within the tab of the webpage when opened. The title is easily edited, but some companies choose to just fill these with words such as “home page” or “about us”, which is not very descriptive to the search engines, and can increase the difficulty in getting your website promoted through the search results. A better option is to use words or phrases relating to your website i.e. keywords that you wish to be found for on search engines. Ensure that the keywords are both relevant to your content and that they also appear in your content; this will help you to rank higher for relative keywords on search engines.

Description
The description tag (“description”) works on two fronts. Firstly it is used for the search engines to better understand the content of a page; secondly it is used as the paragraph which will be displayed in the search results. A lot of thought needs to be put into this section, firstly, to ensure that is it descriptive as well as inviting to visitors to increase the clicks through to your website.

Flash versus XHTML

Flash can not exist on a website without HTML or XHTML, so there is not an actual Flash-only choice. However with websites primarily using flash for a website, the content can be unreadable and so will not do well when trying to rank in the search engines. There are tools available that allow you to see what the search engines see, a good and free tool to use is Yellowpipe Lynx Viewer which can be downloaded at Yellowpipe Lynx Viewer.

It is recommended to have an XHTML site that has small sections of flash content embedded. This allows you to benefit from the visual appeal of flash but benefit from optimised content from the XHTML to increase the traffic to your website.

Within an XHTML website, there any many factors that attribute a readable site, such as limited or no use of tables and inline frames (iframes). This does get technical and can become very complicated. In its simplicity the less code-to-content ratio, the better; but it is advisable to contact a professional SEO Company/designer to establish the quality of the website code.

Google have announced changes to their search engine that will enable AJAX content to become crawlable. No more choosing between a search engine friendly website and dynamic content, now you can use practicality and SEO to get the best of both worlds with your website.

More and more Web 2.0 social websites are appearing on the Internet, and most content for these sites is dynamic. Because AJAX content failed to be crawled by search engines, this has been restricting developers from developing better AJAX apps and slowing down the progression of website features. I know what its like sitting there trying to develop a website while attempting to perform your clients’ requests and create what is ultimately the best coding solution, but being held up by the implications your work will have on the SEO of a website … frustrating times. Trying to find a work-around can double your workload, but slowly Google is knocking down the barriers that restrict us from doing things the way we want to.

“Today we’re excited to propose a new standard for making AJAX-based websites crawlable. This will benefit webmasters and users by making content from rich and interactive AJAX-based websites universally accessible through search results on any search engine that chooses to take part. We believe that making this content available for crawling and indexing could significantly improve the web.” quoted from googleblog.

This will mean those people who have applied AJAX to their sites, with dynamic content, will need to re-evaluate the content contained within. If you have not optimised the content contained with now is the time people, before it gets picked up and either dilutes or otherwise negatively affects your SEO campaign. This change does work out well considering that “almost 70% of the websites we know about use JavaScript in some form or another. Of course, most of that JavaScript is not AJAX, but the better that search engines could crawl and index AJAX, the more that developers could add richer features to their websites and still show up in search engines.”

While applying this feature, Google are trying to achieve the following:

Minimal changes are required as the website grows

Users and search engines see the same content (no cloaking)

Search engines can send users directly to the AJAX URL (not to a static copy)

Site owners have a way of verifying that their AJAX website is rendered correctly and thus that the crawler has access to all the content

Happy coding!

For those designers and developers out there who love to use Flash to build web sites, but loathe having to choose between making the site exciting and keeping it optimised, fret no more, the answer is here!

A sigh of relief is going over flash web designers and developers as Adobe team up with Google and Yahoo to help Flash sites get found by their search engines. The idea behind this is to enhance the readability of Flash sites by major search engines, resulting in potentially higher ranking by Google and Yahoo. By implementing algorithms and updating existing ones, crawlers will be able to effectively search through your Flash site and generate an accurate illustration of the theme and content of your site. As yet there is no published complete date, but Google has already started amalgamation between its services and Adobe Flash Player technology.

Naturally, one of the many supporters of this integration is David Wadhwani, General Manager and Vice President of the Platform Business Unit at Adobe, who believes that the initiative will “significantly improve search of this rich content on the web”. Some have even go so far as to call the innovation the “Holy Grail”, as posted by fellow supporter Richard MacManus on Read Write Web.

Is it all good news?

Debates have begun concerning the possible limitations put on smaller search engines as a result of the two major search engines joining forces. Claims have arisen that the smaller search engines, such as Ask, Msn, etc, will be pushed further out of the market, creating an oligopoly consisting of Yahoo and Google.

However, having analysed debates made for and against this move, it would appear that the majority of arguments on both sides are made based on individual opinion and comfort with the use of flash software. Basically, it appears to depend on whether you like Flash.

Amending existing websites

This new development has caused some concerns regarding existing websites, as the unknowledgeable believe that amendments are required to allow their websites to be seen by crawlers. However, it is said that there is no requirement to amend existing web sites to allow crawlers to view your site, but I think its safe to say that a lot of Flash web sites have poor optimisation, especially within dynamic content. If you are a true SEO designer, it is worth reviewing and updating your Flash sites just so that you can maximise the benefits of these algorithms for your site.
